Depression of the Young Literati - Hatsune Miku

Song: Depression of the Young Literati - Hatsune Miku
Composer: Hoehoe-P
Translation: vgboy
Translyrics: Razra

I need to do it. To go off, far away
All by myself, should I, really go now?
My school and all, my friends as well, my part-time too
Almost everything, all of it, is being thrown out

Beginning at the familiar station, a flock of people
Just within a young girl, has lost her purse and is crying away
The evening train rapidly slides into place
People fill the empty seats and mutter impatiently
All of a sudden everything feels a little better
As I mingle with unfeeling people all around me

And then someone calls my name, I know I can hear it
And I’m struck with sadness, but I can’t understand why
Flying out from the world, beyond this universe, I am
Toying with my wild and wandering imagination
Just before the tears can fall again

My favorite author, a young novelist, I know you read him as well
Even though long ago, he had decided to kill himself off
He said “It was a lifetime filled with shame, a life of countless lies and mad hate all around”
But they all laughed and called him a dark, gloomy guy
But no matter what, I couldn’t forget those words that he said

Someone to my right speaks and almost instantly
This lonely train shakes and jerks and I feel it’s flying
It’s flying off the tracks to the dark side of the far distant moon
Rising up to the heavens where I can see you waiting there
Going back into the far past

Dear me I can see, we’re the same, you and me
You will someday lose it, and die all alone just like I did

"It was a lifetime filled with countless shames,"
"Spent with only lies ever being told to me,"
But I won't ever go away from you, I won’t leave you alone
For I'm a lover of novels, I’m only just a man too

And then someone calls my name, I know I can hear it
And I’m struck with sadness, but I can’t understand why
Flying out from the world, beyond this universe, I am
Begging you to turn away from all that you can see
I beg you run away, oh, just go
